SoundFoundations is a venture that was started in early 2010.What started out as a DIY project soon turned into a serious hobby and thanks to the encouragement by many well wishers it gradually took shape into a sort of venture where we accept and execute custom orders for audio equipment and provide support to DIY enthusiasts and fellow audiophiles
We started out with building custom Speaker Stands for bookshelf speakers or Standmounts after we realized that the commercial offerings that were available until now were just not up to the mark. The use of Light gauge materials and shoddy design were unsatisfactory. Yes the finish was acceptable but many design principles were and still are being ignored. At the other end of the spectrum decent stands like the ones from Dyna Audio were just too overpriced especially due to India’s Duty structure and international shipping and taxes.
Our design consultants include Schwinn and some senior sound and design engineers whose innovative and most importantly engineering approach to design with respect to pure acoustics has resulted in wide acceptance of our products by seasoned audiophiles.
Today we have expanded into hi-fi racks for electronic equipment, Audio Accessories such as shelving solutions for racks, spikes, footers, feet and also Pre/Power amplifier Cabinets/chassis complete with hardware and heatsinks.If you can think it – we can make it. We try to be perfectionists and the finicky nature of our founder keeps us on our feet.
