Accuart Acoustic Panels Absorber

We manufacture one of the most effective; Lab tested and cultured and acoustic control panels in India.

Mundane looking broadband absorbers and diffusers are boring to look at over time; moreover they look out of place in homes or home studios.

We provide solutions for customized and cultured panels with high quality digital prints on painstakingly imported breathable acoustic fabrics.

These pieces of art look like true paintings and are guaranteed not only to impress but also function exceptionally in all environments, be it a studio or a home.

Replace your boring (many a time ineffective) panels with not just our more effective absorber but also our pieces of art.

We don’t just get our panels to look good aesthetically (that’s only a small part!)  But we have made sure to engineer and test our panels against most commercially available Indian acoustic control solutions.

Our 3 – 4 inch broadband absorbers measure better than the bass traps of most existing and our 9 inch reference total traps will pretty much surprise all acoustic experts.

And hence these are not only used for excellent broadband absorption but with slight modifications can even do an excellent job in trapping lower range frequencies.

Our panels hold 3 separate proprietary absorption materials for most of the sound spectrum (We DO NOT use “acoustic foam” as a shortcut that is used by most manufacturers only for the sake of being competitive, since these have only a limited absorption field in addition to being non durable over time.

We culture customized prints as per client taste and surrounding.

Our test results speak for themselves and are a testament to the materials we use.

2.5 Acoustic Panel Absorber

Ideal in 2-channel listening rooms, recording studios, restaurants, home theaters, and sanctuaries, the   thick and easily mountable panels are an excellent choice for acoustically treating early reflection points, flutter echo, or general decay in a room. Our most versatile sound absorbing panels, the 2.5 acoustic panels are used to reduce noise in environments where sound clarity is important.

Description

Broadband panels are constructed of high density (120 kg/m³ ) glass wool with resin hardened edges and a rigid frame for easy hanging from a wall or ceiling, and includes an air gap for added absorption. This process works in tandem with the micromesh to fully encapsulate the glass wool to eliminate fibers from escaping. Panels are then covered in an acoustically transparent fabric in a choice of three colors or custom digital print for an architecturally attractive appearance..

The Science

In the world of acoustics, bass or low frequencies are difficult to control due to their long wavelengths. With sufficient power, bass will pass through just about anything. This means that it not only requires more energy to generate bass (think elephant versus mouse), it is a lot tougher to stop it once it gets going (think trying to stop a freight train versus stopping a bicycle). High frequencies are much less of a problem as the shorter wavelength is much less powerful.

The easiest way to absorb low frequencies is to increase the thickness of the panel. One can more or less predict the required thickness of an acoustic panel by employing ‘quarter wavelength’ calculations. But actual acoustic testing generally delivers surprising results. Unless the panel is sufficiently dense, bass will pass right through. This is the problem with low density foam; it is ineffective at absorbing bass. On the other hand, if the panel is too dense; the high frequencies will simply bounce off and reflect back into the room. SoundFoundations Broadband panels are designed to do both; they provide balanced absorption.

The  2.5 panel is made from high density 120 kg/m³  glass wool while most foam panels are made using low density 1.3lb urethane. Because most of the foam is cut away to create an artistic pattern, the density of the foam is further reduced due to the huge air gaps that have been cut away. Most foam ends up with a density that barely reaches 1lb per cubic foot. With only 1/6th the density of a SoundFoundations 2.5 panel, it is no wonder that urethane foam is unable to absorb bass. This underscores the importance of checking the data and making sure it comes from a reputable independent laboratory. If the manufacturer does not provide independent tests, you are likely getting less than what you are paying for.

Panel Size

Sizes Suggested Ambience
1-inch panel (2.5 cm) For voice range in offices & restaurants, or flutter echo in studio
1.5-inch panel (4.0 cm) For general sound absorption and to control first order reflections
2.5-inch panel (6.35 cm) For music related spaces where broadband absorption is desired

Mount at the primary and secondary reflection points on the walls
Install on a ceiling with optional Ceiling Mounting as a cloud ceiling in order to tame prime or secondary reflections
Open back not only allows absorption of lower frequencies with an air gap, but also to allow the panel to sit flush against the wall.

4.0 Pro Full Range & Bass Trap

A entire level above the 2.5 Broadband absorbers the Accuart 4.0 Full range trap is a highly effective and performance oriented Pro offering that effectively absorb sound energy from 100 Hz and up and so this trap is a more serious full range absorber and this is the reason why these are essential in more serious 2 channel listening rooms and pro recording studios

Description

The 4.0 Pro full range trap  is a 4.0 inch thick trap consisting of a fabric wrapped, 2.5 inch high-density (140 kg/m³ )  glass wool encapsuled in our proprietary micromesh and then backed with 1 inch woody wool porous fibre network with a built in air gap.

This fibrous network is responsible in the trapping of lower midrange frequencies and is the core of this panel and this is mainly where is differs from the 2.5 Broadban panels .When installed in the room corner, a 17” deep air space is formed behind the panel. This air space provides significant absorption in the problematic low-mid (100Hz – 200Hz) region while seamlessly integrating with other 2.5 Broadband  panel installations.

The Science

It is well documented that the most difficult frequencies to control are in the deep low bass region. This is due to the long wavelengths that require a lot of energy to produce, and then tremendous effort to control. Once a room is overly excited with bass energy, room modes develop whereby sound bouncing off the walls will react with the direct sound from the loudspeaker and either cancel each other out – if out of phase – creating a lull or combine together – if in phase – to create a peak. These cause frequency bumps (modes) in the room that cause the sound to change depending on where you are positioned.

The solution is to integrate a bass trap into the room. Because low frequencies below 300Hz are considered to be omnidirectional, a bass trap can be positioned anywhere in the room to have effect. However, because sound travels within the confines of the walls, ceiling and floor, it tends to migrate into corners. This makes the corner the most efficient location for capturing sound energy.

Suggested Places

Designed to be flat wall mounted or corner mounted for bass trapping at ear-height, or stacked floor to ceiling, the kit provides substantial surface area for broadband absorption with effective coverage down into the low bass region

9.0 Total Trap

Our ultimate and most serious room control product .The ACCUART TOTAL trap is a highly effective bass trap that combines a diaphragmatic resonator, a full-size acoustic panel, and a sealed enclosure to provide 3-way absorption throughout the full frequency spectrum.
Ideal for rooms having node problems.

Description

This unique design begins with a front-mounted 24″ x 48″ – 2.5″ thick Broadband panel made from 140kg/ m3 high-density glass wool fiber. This effectively absorbs frequencies down to 150Hz and extends below 125Hz.Behind the panel, a closed air space takes full advantage of quarter-wavelength principles to further reinforce low frequency absorption in this critical bass region.

But where the Total Trap truly shines is in its capacity to absorb deep low bass. The total Trap’s remarkable low frequency extension is achieved by way of a suspended diaphragm that stretches nearly the full height of the device and essentially acts like a huge microphone, capturing bass by vibrating where the low frequencies are most prominent. As room modes combine, they either reinforce certain frequencies or cancel them out. The total Trap’s limp-mass structure naturally migrates to the most powerful frequencies where it quietly resonates to remove excess bass and subsequent modal frequencies.
The Total Trap is the perfect solution for bass trapping in rooms where corner mounting is not an option due to windows, doors, or other obstacles. The Total Trap can also be used to reinforce other traps when a room demands additional bass control. When combined with 2.5 Broadband panels and diffusers, one can turn virtually any room into a well-balanced acoustic space.

Suggested Places

Designed to be flat wall mounted or corner mounted for bass trapping at ear-height, or celing hung, the kit provides substantial surface area for broadband absorption with effective coverage down into the low bass region.

Core material : Formed Semi rigid inorganic glass fibres with a wood wool porous fibre network with a built in air gap. The front has Micro fiber mesh below the Acoustic fabric and a stiff back for holding up the heavier panel. Between the wood wool network and within the air gap is a mass loaded vinyl ( 16kg/m3) suspended diaphragm.

Absorption Panel FAQ’s

Q.  What is the difference between the 2.5 broadband acoustic panel and 4” Full Range bass trap?
A. Full Range/Bass traps are thicker and denser versions of our acoustic panels which are designed to absorb bass frequencies down to 100Hz. The 2.5 Broadband Acoustic panels are designed mostly to absorb high and mid frequencies (human voices, treble…) with some bass absorption (from 250 Hz to 4000 Hz). “
Sound Foundations” full range bass traps absorb high frequencies just as well as our standard panels, except they have the added advantage of being able to absorb much more of the lower frequencies. Bass absorption panels such our full range Corner trap work best if placed in room corner. They help eliminate standing waves, dips and spikes that are notoriously prevalent in smaller rooms. So for example, if you notice that you have too much bass in one spot of the room, and very little in the sweet spot, you need bass traps to calibrate the room lows and to give you as flat a low frequency as possible. Which results in tighter punchier bass that does not overwhelm the rest of the instruments and sounds equally good no matter where you sit in the room.

Q. Can I use your Full range bass traps instead of broadband acoustic panels or Baffles?
A. Absolutely! Our 4inch full range bass traps offer broadband absorption (Highs, mids and lows). In fact our PRO series room packages consist of only full range bass traps. Remember bass is the toughest frequency to control, so bass traps are a must. The more you deploy the better off you are, especially in smaller rooms where bass frequencies are a major problem.

Q. How do I interpret absorption readings and test results ?
A. Sabins and SoundAbsorbtion Co-efficients – https://www.acousticfields.com/sabins-and-sound-absorption-coefficients/
