Balanced R-2R DAC

Utilising balanced R-2R technology, the PONTUS15th features a fully balanced, ladder-like configuration of resistors in the output. Although this is a costly and complex engineering solution, the benefit is improved precision and vanishingly low levels of interference. The fully balanced configuration, from input to output, ensures the purest sound, with the least amount of distortion possible.

FIFO buffering for superior sound from all sources

All digital inputs are FIFO buffered and re-clocked by the on-board CPLD crystal oscillator. This suppresses jitter to vanishingly low levels, minimising the DAC’s reliance on the source’s own clock system. This ensures uniformly high quality sound, whatever the digital source being used.

Low Phase Noise Oscillator

Available in black or silver, the PONTUS15th uses an extra-thick, 1.5mm all-metal casing for electrical shielding and a premium quality feel. Cone feet help isolate the DAC, further improving the sound.
